Community Involvement

Recognition of the important role dentists play in their communities dates back to the 1930’s when Eleanor Roosevelt personally selected a dentist to be one of the founding members of every new town created through the New Deal. At Gardner Dentists, we embody this commitment through our donations to many local charities and our volunteer work with organizations providing much needed dental care to the less fortunate both locally and across the world.

Below are highlights from some of our favorite charitable activities and organizations.

College Scholarships

Every year, we are proud to recognize and reward two college-bound seniors from Gardner Edgerton High School with a $1,000 scholarship. Our goal is to encourage young adults who are pursuing degrees in either science or healthcare. To learn more, please ask your Guidance Counselor or give us a call at the practice.

Adopt-a-Family

Our entire staff and their families come together during the holidays to give back and bring smiles to young children in need. There is no better feeling than helping a child smile during this time of year.

School Education Outreach Programs

While February is Dental Health Month, our team is always available to help kids learn about the importance of brushing, flossing and protecting their smiles. We enjoy visiting pre-schools and elementary schools in Gardner, Spring Hill and Overland Park. Hello Kitty has even been known to join us. Our doctors are always happy to answer questions from our littlest patients, and everyone leaves with a special gift pack.

Boo Bash

Each fall, we look forward to participating in the annual Boo Bash festivities organized by Gardner Parks and Recreation at Celebration Park. The event is full of trick-or-treaters, and it offers games, candy and prizes to kids of all ages. We are proud to work with other community leaders to make this a special event for hundreds of Gardner families.
